Here are some eye-healthy favorites from your friends at OCLI Vision 👀🥗

Adding foods like leafy greens, salmon, eggs, and berries to your meals can help support long-term vision health. These are rich in nutrients like lutein, omega-3s, and vitamin C that your eyes love.

Many ophthalmologists also recommend supplements with lutein, zeaxanthin, zinc, and vitamins C and E to help maintain eye health as you age.

This Healthy Aging Month, take a closer look at what’s on your plate and what’s in your daily routine. Your future vision will thank you.

We know it can be tempting to push your contacts a few extra days, but don’t do it! Over time, lenses break down and stop filtering properly, making it easier for bacteria and buildup to irritate your eyes. 🦠

When it’s time to toss them, toss them. Your eyes deserve fresh, clean lenses every time. 👀

Conjunctivitis (pink eye) is common in children and can spread quickly. Here’s what to look for:

🔹 Increased tearing
🔹 Soreness of the eye
🔹 Redness in one or both eyes
🔹 Itchy or burning sensation
🔹 Watery or thick discharge (pus)
🔹 Crusting on lashes, especially after sleep

While many cases are mild, you should see an ophthalmologist if:

👶 Symptoms last more than a few days
🧼 Discharge worsens or affects vision
📈 Your child has a fever or other signs of illness
💊 You're unsure whether it's viral, bacterial, or allergic

Early diagnosis ensures the right treatment and helps prevent it from spreading to others. Link in bio to find an office near you!
