Get ready for a spook-tacular time! Join us next week for our annual costume fun! We've had a blast seeing our kiddos show off their Halloween spirit year after year. This is especially helpful for kids with sensory challenges - they can practice wearing their costumes before the big day. Let's make the most out of those costumes! 🧡🖤🎃👻🐈‍⬛😈

How did you look like as a kid? Jumping on the "hugging my younger self trend" on Google Gemini. What would I tell my younger self? Many things, but one thing is for sure - I would tell myself to remember to love big, learn always, and show up better every day.

Happy Fall, y'all! 🍂🍁 First day of Fall today. 🧡Some crafts our kiddos did today - tree with autumn leaves (we used paints, q-tips, and found a picture of a blank tree on Google) and scarecrow (we used paint, popsicle sticks, construction paper and glue). 🍁🍂

This summer, we welcomed volunteers for the first time — and what a difference they’ve made! 🌟 Not only do they help in our day-to-day operations, but for those interested in OT, they get a glimpse into the life of a pediatric OT practitioner. If you or you know someone who would like to volunteer with us, please send your inquiries to info@kidfundamentalstherapy.com.

Today, we said goodbye to one of our amazing volunteers, Eugene. Thank you for your time, kindness, and positive energy. We wish you all the best in your next chapter, and we know you’ll continue to make a difference wherever you go. You will be missed!

June has been a big month of celebrating our therapists, and it continues with Ms. Kimberly. She joined our team in March 2025. This week we celebrated her first 90 days with us. Kimberly has jumped right in and made a meaningful impact from day one. She’s played a huge role in helping with evaluations, allowing us to reduce wait times for families eager to get support — something we know makes a real difference in the lives of the children we serve. We’re so glad to have you here and can’t wait to see all the amazing things ahead!

We recently celebrated a very special milestone — 2 years with our amazing COTA, Nadine! 🎉 From day one, she has made a lasting impact on the lives of the children and families we serve. As our only Spanish-speaking therapist, Nadine has played a vital role in bridging the gap for families who may not speak English fluently — offering support, care, and connection in a way that truly matters.

The kids respond so well to her warm approach and thoughtful guidance, and it’s no surprise why — Nadine leads with compassion, patience, and joy every single day. Thank you, Nadine, for your incredible work and for the difference you make. We’re lucky to have you as part of our work family! Here’s to many more years of changing lives together! 💫 - Leslie

A Little Intro

OUR MISSION STATEMENT: Our mission is to provide the best and most comprehensive care in pediatric occupational therapy services. Our therapy center is dedicated to providing children and their families with quality care with individualized, personal attention to their needs. We are here because we want to help children learn the fundamentals needed to enhance their skills, and become as independent as possible to live a fuller life.

KID FUNdamentals Therapy Center, Inc. was founded by Leslie Valmonte, M.A., OTR/L, and is the current owner and president of this outpatient clinic. Leslie has over 12 years experience working as a pediatric occupational therapist. She chose to become an Occupational Therapist in Pediatrics because of her passion for children. Throughout her college years, Leslie has had a wide breadth of internships that exposed her to numerous avenues of Occupational Therapy. It was until an internship that involved children was when she realized her calling to the pediatric field.

Going into private practice has been a path Leslie has always planned. Upon completing the requirements to become a registered and licensed Occupational Therapist, she first focused her energies in becoming a skilled clinician by gaining hands-on experience to provide quality care to those she serves. Now, with over a decade of experience in public schools and private clinics, Leslie brings depth needed to provide services in private practice.
