ACCC is a Virtual and face to face Entrepreneurial Training class for program participants, and to the community at large. This training will teach goal-setting and other entrepreneurial skills. We will also assist the trainees in setting up an entrepreneurial club. The training will be done in weekly sessions that will occur via a telephone Conference Line.
Andrew Aaron volunteered his service and enlisted in the United States Army on March 8, 1948. He was sent to Basic Training at Fort Knox, Kentucky. He was later transferred to the 10th Cavalry Regiment, the unit more commonly known as "The Buffalo Soldiers", at Camp Hood, Texas. Trooper Aaron eventually served with the 758th Tank Battalion and later deployed overseas with the 24th Infantry Regiment in Gifu, Japan. Initially, Trooper Andrew Aaron was assigned to the 10th Cavalry at Fort Campo, Texas when the unit was being deactivated. After this assignment, he was transferred to the 758th Tank Battalion and sent to the 24th Infantry Regiment, Japan. This unit was one of the four original Buffalo Soldier Regiments. When the Korean War began, the 24th was sent to Korea. Trooper Aaron saw combat and was wounded in action. After receiving treatment in Japan for his wounds, he was sent back to Korea and assigned to the 2nd Division. He received a combat commission to the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in 1951. During the Korean War, Major Aaron received the following medals:
Korean Services Medal with a Silver and Bronze Star
Meritorious Service Medal
Army of Occupation Medal Japan
American Defense service Medal
American Campaign Medal Badge
United Nations Service Medal
Purple Heart Medal for Combat Injuries during the Korean War
Trooper Aaron retired from the Army at the rank of Major with over 30 years of military service, including service during the Vietnam War. He has held the title of President of the Los Angeles Chapter of the 9th and 10th Horse Cavalry Association. Major Aaron is married to Geraldine Aaron for 61 years and have three daughters, three grandsons and two great grand-daughters, two son-in-laws and one grand-daughter-in-law.
