Gardendale Primary Care Gardendale Primary Care is the office of Dr. Gilbert F. Douglas, IV, D.O. Dr. Gilbert F.

completed his under-graduate education at Samford University where he received a bachelors of science degree in Biochemistry. He then received a masters degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Georgetown University and subsequently was awarded his medical degree at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He went on to complete his training in the Baptist Health System and is board certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Douglas has been in private practice at St Vincent's East Hospital since 2009, practicing general Internal Medicine. He has served as the chairman of the Department of Medicine at St Vincent's East and currently serves on the board of directors of the St Vincent's Physician's Alliance and St Vincent's Foundation. Dr. Douglas is a family man and enjoys spending his recreational time with his wife and four children.
