GAAMHA is proud to celebrate two meaningful recognitions that highlight the power of partnership, collaboration, and community support.

Hope for Holyoke, a peer recovery center in Holyoke, recently held its annual awards ceremony honoring staff, members, and community partners. This year’s Community Partnership Awards recognized the new RST program and the collaborative effort behind bringing this important resource to the community. Debbie from BSAS accepted the award on behalf of the BSAS team members who helped get the RST program up and running, and the three peer recovery centers that received grants for their RST programs were also honored.

Congratulations to GAAMHA's TJ Atkinson for taking the lead and making our RST program a standout for excellence!

We are also proud to recognize Jack Borey, who received an award for Outstanding Collaboration and Support of Fitchburg Community Justice Support Center clients. Jack’s commitment to partnership and client-centered support reflects the heart of GAAMHA’s mission.

Congratulations to TJ & Jack, who continue to make recovery, support, and opportunity possible.

GAAMHA was honored to take place in this awesome Leadership Mixer organized by GFA! It was wonderful getting a chance to talk with all the students that took part in GFA’s Student Advisory program. This was a great group of young leaders here and we are proud of them all.

🎉 Congratulations to Michael Mellitt, GAAMHA’s Employee of the Quarter!

Michael, a Driver based out of Gardner HQ, was selected for this recognition after an incredible quarter of service, safety, and dedication. Through some of the toughest New England weather, Michael transported 1,743 clients without incident, accident, injury, or significant delay. He arrives early to carefully inspect his vehicle and wheelchair securement equipment, and stays late to keep his vehicle clean and comfortable for every person he transports.

Michael’s work supports clients across our organization and community, including Gardner CBES, Gardner Venture Community Services, competitively employed individuals at Franklin Pierce University, medical appointments for local elderly community members, and individuals in substance recovery. His persistence, integrity, and attention to detail help GAAMHA deliver on our mission every day.

GAAMHA’s Employee of the Quarter Award is especially meaningful because it is a truly employee-driven initiative. It was created by our Employee Engagement Committee, made up of non-supervisory staff from across the organization. The committee shaped how employees are evaluated, how often the award is given, who selects the winners, and how recipients are recognized.

Please join us in congratulating Michael on this well-deserved honor. Thank you, Michael, for going above and beyond and for helping redefine community support through your commitment, excellence, and impact! 👏
