It's not about "Mother's Day art," per se. It's about art that resonates and the decision to give it to someone who will live with it for years.

"Light Hitchhiker" doesn't know what holiday it is. It just knows it belongs somewhere that matters. Long after the occasion that brought it there is over, it will still be on the wall.
