What a weekend at Hot Air for Hope - Carson Valley Balloon Festival 🔥🎈💙

Early morning balloon launches and community connection filled the weekend, and even the windy conditions couldn't take away from the incredible support and spirit surrounding such a meaningful cause.

Hot Air for Hope helps support Douglas Center for Hope and Healing and its mission of providing mental health resources, support, and hope for people in our community. The event also helps support the traditions that bring the Carson Valley together year after year.

Weekends like this are a reminder that we are stronger together💪 When a community shows up for one another, supports mental wellness, and creates space for connection and hope, it makes a real difference.

This week, we take time each day to celebrate and honor our caregivers in every single department for their dedication to our patients and community.

Today, for National Hospital Week, our team brought the 90s spirit as we celebrated our beginnings and looked back on how far we’ve come since we opened in 1993.

Thank you to every employee, provider, volunteer, and community member who has helped make Carson Valley Health what it is today. We’re proud of our past and grateful for the team that keeps making a difference every day!

Help us welcome Katie Mauldin, Physician Assistant Certified (PA-C), to the Urgent Care Ironwood team in Minden 💙

Katie brings years of experience in emergency medicine and outpatient care. She spent seven years at Saint Mary’s ER as an Advanced EMT and Emergency Department Technician, and has cared for patients at the RAMPART medical tent at Burning Man. Her passion for helping others has taken her to Nepal and Peru, where she volunteered in pediatric, psychiatry, and community health clinics.

She earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nevada, Reno, and is dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care right here in our community.

Katie is now seeing patients at Urgent Care Ironwood. We’re here for you Monday through Friday, 8AM-7PM, and Saturdays, 9AM-5PM. Walk-ins welcome.

Vitality for Life supports adults 65+ facing challenges like depression, anxiety, grief, loneliness, and big life changes. Through group sessions and caring guidance, you’ll connect with others who understand what you’re going through.
