The Benton County Fire Marshal has issued a 24-Hour Countywide Burn Ban through 1/12/26 at 8:30AM.

No outdoor, open burning is permitted.

The Court-Ordered Burn Ban has ended by order of Benton County Judge Barry Moehring.

Open, controlled burns are allowed in parts of Benton County after submitting an application for a permit.

Residents within city limits must comply with local laws and ordinances. Please review your local city laws before conducting an open, controlled burn.

Notify the County before burning by completing a controlled burn permit online or by calling 479-273-5530. Only the burning of yard waste and agricultural clearing operations are permitted. https://bentoncountyar.gov/fire-marshal/

You must stay with the fire until it is out. If you encounter any problems during the burn, please call 911.

You cannot burn household trash, tires, chemicals, construction demolition, or salvage waste wood or lumber (treated or untreated).

The open burning of anything not specifically exempted is considered a violation of state law.

Just a reminder that the county wide court ordered burn ban remains in place. NO OUTDOOR BURNING! Please contact the county at 479-273-5530 for burn ban status. If you see smoke and flames, please call 911 immediately.

The Benton County Judge has signed a court-ordered burn ban for Benton County.

All open, outdoor burns are prohibited for a period of up to 60 days starting on 12/31/2025 or until lifted by the County Judge. Fireworks are included under this burn ban.

THE HEART OF VOLUNTEER

"There is nothing stronger than the heart of a volunteer." This is certainly true of NEBCO Volunteer FF/EMT Wade Canfield. Wade was voted the 2016 NEBCO Firefighter of the year by his peers for his hard work and dedication. Wade has been a part of NEBCO for 9 years and as a certified FF and an EMT is a valuable part of the department. Thank you Wade for all you do!
