The Texas heat is officially back, and it is not messing around! ☀️🥵

As temperatures rise, so do cases of heat-related illnesses. It’s crucial to know the difference between heat exhaustion and heatstroke:

💧 Heat Exhaustion: Heavy sweating, weakness, dizziness, nausea. (Action: Move to a cool place, sip water, apply cool cloths).

🚨 Heatstroke: No sweating, red/hot/dry skin, confusion, passing out. (Action: This is a medical emergency! Seek immediate ER care).

Stay hydrated, take breaks in the shade, and check on your vulnerable neighbors. If the heat gets to be too much, TotalCare ER is here with fast, compassionate care.

May is National Stroke Awareness Month, and knowing the warning signs can literally save a life. Remember to B.E. F.A.S.T.!

B - Balance (Sudden loss of balance/coordination)
E - Eyes (Sudden vision changes)
F - Face (Facial drooping)
A - Arms (Weakness in one arm)
S - Speech (Slurred or difficult speech)
T - Time (Time to call 911 or get to the nearest ER immediately!)

👋 We’ve had some VIPs in the house recently! A huge shoutout to our incredible community outreach territory manager team for recently hosting the Mayors of Denton, DeSoto, and Benbrook! 🏛️✨

Our territory managers had the best time taking these amazing local leaders on a behind-the-scenes tour of our freestanding ER facilities. While a minor upset stomach can wait, sudden and severe abdominal pain is a major red flag that requires immediate attention. If your pain is accompanied by a high fever, inability to keep fluids down, or is sharply localized to your lower right side, bypass the urgent care.
