March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, a time to raise awareness about the importance of prevention and early detection. Colorectal cancer is one of the most preventable cancers when found early through screening.

Ways to reduce your risk:

• Get screened regularly. Screening is recommended starting at age 45, or earlier if you have risk factors or a family history.
• Know your family history. Talk with your healthcare provider about your risk.
• Eat a balanced diet. Focus on fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and limit processed meats.
• Stay active. Regular physical activity can help lower your risk.
• Avoid to***co and limit alcohol. Both are linked to increased cancer risk.
• Pay attention to symptoms. Changes in bowel habits, blood in stool, or unexplained weight loss should be discussed with a healthcare provider.

Early detection saves lives. Talk to your healthcare provider about the screening plan that’s right for you.

PET vs. CT vs. MRI – What’s the Difference?

Medical imaging plays a critical role in diagnosis and treatment planning, but not all scans provide the same information. CT and MRI scans focus on the structure of the body, while PET imaging shows how tissues and organs are functioning at a cellular level.

A PET scan helps doctors:

- Detect cancer earlier
- Determine if cancer has spread
- Evaluate how well treatment is working
- Identify recurrence sooner

We make accessing advanced imaging easy with convenient scheduling, quick turnaround times, and a supportive team focused on your care.
