Beta-amyloid PET is an advanced brain imaging scan that helps detect amyloid plaques—abnormal protein deposits linked to Alzheimer’s disease and other memory disorders.

Why it matters:

- Helps clarify the cause of memory loss
- Supports more accurate diagnosis
- Guides personalized care planning

While it’s not a screening test for everyone, it can provide important answers when memory changes remain unexplained.

Knowledge is power—early clarity can help patients and families plan ahead with confidence.

World Lymphoma Awareness Day

Today, we recognize World Lymphoma Awareness Day, a time to raise awareness of lymphoma, a type of blood cancer that affects the lymphatic system.

- Know the signs: swollen lymph nodes, unexplained fevers, night sweats, fatigue, and weight loss.
- Know the impact: lymphoma is one of the most common cancers in young people, but advances in treatment are helping more patients live longer, healthier lives.
- Know your role: awareness and early detection save lives.

Together, we can shine a light on lymphoma and support patients, survivors, and families.

Who’s at risk?
Anyone can be at risk for skin cancer, but especially those with fair skin, frequent sun exposure, tanning bed use, or a history of sunburns.

Protect your skin:
- Wear SPF 30+ daily
- Use hats, sunglasses & protective clothing
- Stay in the shade (10 AM–4 PM)
- Reapply sunscreen every 2 hours
- Check your skin for changes

Use the ABCDEs to spot trouble:
Asymmetry, Border, Color, Diameter, Evolving

If you notice a new or changing spot, don’t wait—early detection saves lives.

What is PET Imaging?

PET (Positron Emission Tomography) imaging is an advanced diagnostic tool that helps doctors see how your organs and tissues are functioning—not just how they look.

Unlike traditional scans, PET uses a small amount of a safe tracer to highlight areas of activity in the body. This allows physicians to:
- Detect disease early
- Stage cancers with greater accuracy
- Monitor response to treatment
- Evaluate brain and heart health

By combining PET with CT or MRI, patients receive a detailed picture that guides personalized, effective care.

PET imaging provides answers that help doctors create the right treatment plan—tailored to you.

Eating well during cancer treatment can help support your strength, energy, and recovery, especially in the summer heat.

Here are a few tips to nourish your body this season:
-Choose hydrating foods like watermelon, cucumbers, and berries
- Opt for light, balanced meals with lean proteins and fresh vegetables
- Eat small, frequent meals to ease digestion and maintain energy
- Avoid heavy, fried, or spicy foods if you’re experiencing nausea

Most importantly, listen to your body and discuss with your care team what works best for you.

Did you know PET imaging can reveal signs of Alzheimer’s before symptoms become obvious?

Using beta-amyloid tracers, PET scans highlight abnormal protein buildup in the brain, helping doctors detect Alzheimer’s in its earliest stages.

Early diagnosis means more time, more options, and more support.

At our PET Imaging centers, we offer advanced neuroimaging in a safe, comfortable setting, with appointments available.

Discuss with your healthcare provider whether PET imaging is suitable for you or a loved one.
