Therapist Thursday Feature:

Meet Bobby Hill, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate at Lifeologie Counseling located in Durham, NC.

Bobby believes that the impact of counseling may have benefits AND risks. The risks aren’t typically discussed, but Bobby addresses this head on stating that those risks may include experiencing uncomfortable feelings, such as but not limited to sadness, guilt, anxiety, anger, frustration, loneliness, and helplessness. These risks may occur because counseling requires the client to talk in-depth about unpleasant and or challenging aspects of their life. The benefit can be outcomes such as but not limited to, a deep understanding of self, learning effective personal and interpersonal coping strategies, and a more improved and healthier outlook on yourself and your life.

To learn more about Bobby Hill, please visit our directory & follow the link next to his name.

Thanks for all that you do for the community Bobby. We appreciate your work!

There are many health disparities that plague the Black community. When speaking about Black Maternal Health, it is indeed a fact.

From a mental health perspective, Black women experience postpartum depression at a higher rate, as well as suicidal ideation. We can increase access, increase awareness & increase support by continuously acknowledging the problem & creating solutions.

Join us this week as we share via our stories, resources that can help Black women who are on their motherhood journey.
