This summer, CCPN worked with the Invision Mammogram Bus to help practices close Medicare and commercial care gaps. Together, we made breast cancer screening more accessible in local communities.

Thanks to seven CCPN practices, 125 patients received screenings: High Country Community Health, Family Care Associates, Greene County Health Care, Hookerton Family Practice, Rapha Primary Care of Fayetteville, Peterson Health & Wellness, and The Salem Center.

We appreciate your commitment to improving patient care and thank all participating practices for making this program a success. Practices interested in hosting the bus in 2026 can reach us at programs@communitycarenc.org

Wake County kindergarten vaccination rates remain just above 94% – below the 95% threshold for community immunity. This gap increases the risk of outbreaks of preventable diseases, including measles.

To support families and schools, Wake County Public Health is hosting free immunization clinics for students entering kindergarten, 7th grade, and 12th grade. Public health nurses will provide required vaccines, review records, and answer questions.

How providers can help:
• Reinforce timely immunizations during visits.
• Refer families facing barriers to the free clinics.
• Share clinic info within your networks.

Together, we can boost coverage, protect children, and strengthen community immunity.
