I’m sure your husband is great… 

(But does he *really* get it?)  

And I bet your doctor means well. 

(But how surface level is the care provided?)  

And I know societal conditioning is so deeply engrained in our brains…  

And diet culture, the pressure to bounce back, the social media facade, and the broken systems we live within all play big roles here, too. 

But all I’m saying is that your felt experience in your OWN body matters more than what anyone else thinks.  

You deserve to feel good, to be well, and to do whatever’s necessary to get there. For your family *and* for yourself.

We can break the cycle of exhausted, burnt out motherhood— a huge shift that simply starts with more moms making just one small decision.

Parenthood would be celebrated and kids would be welcome everywhere.⁣ 
⁣ 
Shame around bottle/formula feeding, co-sleeping, working outside the home, medication, therapy, or anything else would be non-existent.⁣

Because while the rest of the internet loves sharing hot takes for controversy, views (or simply rage bait), or shaming you… 

I really don’t like hurting your feelings (call me a people pleasure, okay). 

But the truth is that women are up against SO much when it comes to our health, and moms even more.  

The misinformation, the pressure to do more, the trends that are more about money than they are health— and don’t forget the gaslighting and withholding data about our own bodies (and control over them). 

And I want the best for you and think we could just be supporting each other a little more, ya know?

So yeah, here are some things I want you to know.

September was the month I promised myself I’d regroup/get my sh*t together after a chaotic summer (+ before the darkness and gloom of winter set in…).
  
And I’ve taken some big steps recently to create some positive momentum I’ve been craving. 👏🏼
  
But the last few weeks have been rocky between weaning (my hormones 🎢), umm just the world (my nervous system😣), and that first seasonal sickness causing crappy sleep (my brain 🌀).  
  
Despite the blah feelings, I’m still showing up— and focusing on the stuff that feels easy, the simple ways I can care for myself that feel good, and what helps me feel the most present and happy.

Find me eating all the soups, sipping mineral hot cocoa, rewatching comfort 90s romcoms, finding every cute autumn ambience on YouTube, soaking up mid 60s weather like it’s my job, and queing up Bon Iver and Fleeteood Mac til further notice.
