🎃 Trunk or Treat Time Update!

🚨 Time Change Alert— the event time has been changed to 4–6 PM to ensure everyone can enjoy the fun safely before it gets dark 🚨

Join us Friday, Oct. 31, at the Roosevelt High School parking lot for candy, costumes, music, and family fun! 👻🍬

🚒🔥 Fire Prevention Week at ELKA! Our friends from the Gary Fire Department stopped by to teach our Happy Learners all about fire safety; including how to call 9-1-1 and what to do in an emergency. The children had a blast learning, asking questions, and even surprising our local heroes with thank-you cards and appreciation gifts for keeping our community safe! 👨🏽‍🚒🧑🏾‍🚒🧑🏼‍🚒

🌱✨ From Garden to Table at Elka! ✨🌱

At Elka Child Educational Center, Inc., our little learners don’t just play in the garden, they help bring it to life! Each week, our children pick fresh produce from our very own Happy Learner Garden, and then our amazing cook, Ms. Wiggins, turns it into delicious, homemade meals. 🥗🍅🥕

Not only are our children learning where their food comes from, but they’re also discovering the joy of healthy eating, sustainability, and teamwork. 💚

This is more than mealtime, it’s hands-on learning, growth, and love served on every plate. 🍽️✨
