Ever wonder what goes on behind the scenes in our kitchens? 👀🍽️

Yesterday, our incredible team was hard at work preparing one of our student favorites… pigs in the blanket 🌭🥐 It takes teamwork, effort, and attention to detail from multiple staff members to make sure every student gets a meal that’s hot, fresh, and ready to enjoy 🔥

We’re proud of the care our staff puts into every step of the process. It’s more than just cooking, it’s about serving our students with excellence every single day ❤️

Fresh, local, and grown right here at RJB

Our hydroponic lettuce is growing great 🌱

Thanks to an awesome partnership between our Ag program and cafeteria team, RJB Cafeteria will soon be serving lettuce grown in-house to our students 🥗

This is what Farm to School looks like

🚨 ATTENTION WESTVIEW FAMILIES! 🚨

Beginning Tuesday, March 31, arrival and dismissal procedures will change due to construction for our new Westview Cafeteria. 🍽️✨

Important Updates:
🔸 Door 4 will no longer be used for arrival or dismissal
🔸 Students may enter through Door 1 or Door 13 during arrival (either door is fine!)
🔸 Students who previously dismissed from Door 4 will now dismiss through Door 1 or Door 13

Traffic Flow:
🚗 Enter from Wichita Street and form two lanes
🔁 Lanes will alternate to merge into one main line, please choose either lane
🚫 The parking lot near Door 4 will be closed
➡️ Please continue to exit onto 6th Street

Safety & Support:
🔴 Use the designated crosswalks (marked in orange on the map)
⭐ Staff will be outside to direct traffic
⚪️ Staff will assist with student unloading/loading

Please Note:
✔️ Door 10 dismissal will NOT be impacted
✔️ Door 8 preschool arrival and dismissal will NOT be impacted
✔️ Breakfast and Lunch service will NOT be impacted for students

We appreciate your patience and flexibility as we adjust traffic flow during this exciting improvement to our school!

Our kitchens are bringing the creativity on Thursday (3/19) with some fun, student-favorite options at each school! 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

📍 Westview (WV): Mini Corn Dogs, Carrots, Fruit, Milk
📍 Northview (NV): Mozzarella Sticks w/ Marinara, Peas or Broccoli, Oranges, Milk
📍 RJB: Ronnie’s Choice--Loaded French Fries, Broccoli, Fruit, Milk
📍 High School (HS): Pigs in a Blanket or Corn Dog, Bush's Baked Beans, Fruit, Milk

🍲🥪 Mississinewa Catering Soft Launch! 🎉

Tonight Mississinewa Catering had its official soft launch by serving soup and sandwiches to the Mississinewa School Board!

This was our first opportunity to showcase what our new catering program can offer. From fresh sandwiches to warm soup, our team was proud to serve a meal prepared right here by Mississinewa Nutrition.

A huge thank you to our Megan Farmer and Jade Gray who prepared, package, and delivered meals. 👏

This is just the beginning. We are excited about the future of Mississinewa Catering and the opportunities it will bring to serve our schools and community.

These bags help ensure students have food over weekends and school breaks. 🍎

Nacho average lunch today in the Mississinewa cafeterias! 🌮🧀

Students enjoyed a delicious nacho tray with tortilla chips, seasoned taco meat, nacho cheese, corn, fruit, and milk. Meals like this keep our students fueled and ready to learn. 🍽️🥛

Remember, breakfast and lunch are always FREE for all Mississinewa students! 🎉

At Mississinewa Community Schools, breakfast and lunch are always FREE for all students. 🥣🍳🥛

We encourage everyone to grab a complete meal with fruits, vegetables, milk, and a nutritious entrée to help power their day. 💪🍓🥕
