🏃‍♀️ LIFE HAPPENS… AND THAT’S OKAY 👏
Even health professionals have busy seasons. Between patients, schedules, family, and life — sometimes the workout, the run, or the “perfect plan” has to shift.
At AcesoPT, we believe health isn’t about perfection. It’s about consistency, balance, and giving yourself grace while still moving forward. 💙
So if your routine looked different today, you’re not failing. You’re human.
We’ll be back to sharing more soon — but for now, here’s your reminder to:
✔️ Drink your water
✔️ Take a walk
✔️ Stretch your body
✔️ Breathe a little deeper today
Small steps still count. 👟✨

MYTH MONDAY!!!

While hormones and age can play a role, they’re not always the whole story.
The pelvic floor muscles are involved in blood flow, muscle control, core support, and sexual function—and when those muscles aren’t functioning well, symptoms can show up in ways many men don’t expect.
A lot of men are told to just “live with it,” assume it’s something they can’t improve… or are handed a little blue pill without ever looking at why the problem is happening in the first place.
But there may be more going on beneath the surface.
Dr. Jodi works with men to address pelvic floor dysfunction, movement patterns, muscle tension, and other contributing factors that can impact overall pelvic health and sexual function.

There’s a right way to mop… and Dr. Jodi was not about to let me keep doing it wrong 😂🧹 The Pros of working for a PT!

Are you still doing long static stretches before your run, or are you not warming up at all? 🏃‍♀️⬇️

While static stretching has its place, holding stretches before a run can temporarily decrease muscle power and make your body feel less prepared for the demands of running.

Instead, focus on dynamic warm-ups that actively prepare your muscles, joints, and nervous system for movement. The 3 in the video are just examples of some things you could do.
✔️ World’s Greatest Stretch
✔️ Toy Soldiers
✔️ High Knee Skip Drills

Dynamic stretching and warm ups help improve mobility, activate the core and hips, increase blood flow, and prepare your body to absorb force more efficiently while running.

The goal before a run isn’t to “relax” the body—it’s to wake it up and prepare it to move well. 💪

A few intentional minutes before your run can improve performance, reduce injury risk, and help your body feel better during and after your miles.

Move well. Run strong. Recover smarter.

Myth Monday: Pain = push through it.
So many people are taught to ignore the warning signs.
Keep running.
Keep lifting.
Keep pushing through.
But pain isn’t your body being dramatic—it’s your body trying to get your attention.
Whether it’s leaking during workouts, pelvic pressure, back pain, hip pain, or discomfort with movement… continuing to “just deal with it” can keep the cycle going longer.
You shouldn’t have to avoid activity to feel better.
And you shouldn’t have to hurt to stay active.
Dr. Jodi helps you understand what your body is telling you and build a plan that supports healing, strength, and confident movement—without fear of making things worse.

To the women who carry life, birth life, and give so much of themselves in the process—thank you. 🤍
Your body does incredible things.
Growing a child. Carrying them through every season. Bringing them into the world with strength, sacrifice, and love.
And while motherhood is often focused on the baby, we never want to forget the woman behind it all.
The changes your body experiences are real.
The physical demands are real.
And you deserve support, care, and healing too.
At AcesoPT, we’re thankful for the opportunity to walk alongside women through every stage—pregnancy, postpartum, recovery, and beyond.
To every mom:
You are strong. You are worthy of care. And you should never have to “just live with” pain or discomfort.
We see you, and we’re grateful for you every day. 🤍

Myth Monday: After babies, this is just how it is.
They’re out there playing.
Running, laughing, not thinking twice.
And you’re inside… or on the sidelines…
telling yourself, “maybe next time.”
Not because you don’t want to—
but because leaking, pressure, or discomfort makes it feel easier not to.
So you start sitting more things out.
And eventually, it just feels normal.
But it doesn’t have to be.
Dr. Jodi helps you address what’s actually going on so you can get back to being part of these moments—not watching them from a distance.

Ah yes… the male body:
organs, muscles, bones…
but no pelvic floor 🙃
Interesting theory.
