I had to share this one 🤍

This patient came to me exhausted and overwhelmed. Her blood sugars were in the 300s, and she was about to be denied a needed eye surgery because things weren’t under control.

When I asked how often she was being seen for her diabetes… she said every 3 months.

And honestly, that’s the problem.

If your A1C is elevated—even above 8—waiting 3 months between visits is not enough. We have the tools, the technology, and the treatments to get this under control much faster than that. 📉

With closer monitoring, continuous glucose tracking, the right medications, and proper support around nutrition and fasting—we’re able to help patients move toward control, and even remission. 🔄

And that’s exactly what we’re seeing happen.

If you’ve been stuck in the same cycle with your diabetes, it doesn’t have to stay that way.

You’re always welcome to reach out or text 📞 704-389-3741 if you’re ready to take a different approach.

When my kids start coming down with something, this is usually where I start.

Nothing complicated—just a few things I’ve seen consistently support their immune system and help shorten how long they stay sick.

Vitamin D is always the foundation. From there, I’ll layer in things like quercetin blends, probiotics, and immune support depending on what they need.

And yes—there are a few “extra” things I keep on hand that I don’t always use, but I like having options when symptoms start to shift.

The goal isn’t to overload them… it’s to support their body so it can do what it’s designed to do.

Most of the time, we’re able to turn things around in a couple of days.

If you’re not sure where to start or what’s appropriate for your child, that’s something we walk through with families in our practice 🤍

Feel free to message us or text 704-389-3741 if you have questions.

“I’ve tried everything for my skin, and it keeps coming back.” 🤍

When that happens, I don’t just look at the skin.

There is a clear connection between the gut and the skin. When the gut is inflamed or out of balance, it can show up as acne, eczema, and persistent flare-ups.

So instead of continuing to switch products, we look at what’s driving it 🔍

Because if the root issue isn’t addressed, the skin will keep reflecting it.

If your child snores, mouth breathes, or wakes up exhausted every morning — please don’t scroll past this. 🙏

As a mama of six and a board-certified nurse practitioner, I know how terrifying it is to hear your child struggling to breathe at night. And I also know how quickly we’re pushed toward surgery as the only option.

But a new study published in JAMA Pediatrics (January 2026) is changing everything we thought we knew about childhood sleep-disordered breathing — and the answer might already be sitting in your medicine cabinet.

Here’s what the research found 👇

A simple saline nasal spray — the kind you can grab at any drugstore for about $5 — was just as effective as a prescription steroid spray at resolving breathing symptoms in children.

And nearly 1 in 3 kids saw their symptoms completely clear up within 6 weeks.

Surgery referrals were cut in half.

Swipe through for the 3 things I’d do at home first before accepting a tonsillectomy referral — evidence-based, practical, and parent-friendly.

And save this post, because you’ll want to come back to it. 🔖

We talk a lot about nutrition in the clinic… 🥗
But the hardest part usually isn’t knowing what to do — it’s actually doing it consistently.

That’s why we’re excited about this new preferred partnership with Project LeanNation, opening a new location in Gastonia next month. 🤝

We love the mission behind what they do. Many of our patients are working on improving their health through better nutrition, and sometimes the hardest part is simply making it practical in everyday life.

Project LeanNation helps bridge that gap with dietitian-approved, ready-to-eat meals and personalized nutrition coaching.

As part of this partnership, Logos Health patients receive $20 off their first meal box when they scan the QR code on the flyer.

We’re excited to see another resource in the community supporting healthier living 💚

Parents making vaccine-free choices for their families aren't typically what the media assumes. Research shows they're actually more likely to be:

🎓 College-educated professionals
💼 Higher household incomes
💍 Married couples in stable communities
🧠 Independent thinkers who prioritize natural health approaches
🔎 Parents who actively research and question mainstream narratives

They're nurses, teachers, firefighters, entrepreneurs, therapists, and even PhD researchers. They're thoughtful, informed, and making intentional decisions for their children.

At Logos Health, we support patient choice and meet parents exactly where they are. Whether you're pregnant and still exploring your options around vaccines, leaning toward a selective schedule, or completely decided on a vaccine-free journey — we're here to support you. 🤝

Our goal isn't to tell you what to do. It's to foster a trusting environment, provide evidence-based guidance, and help restore trust in healthcare. 🩺

Because you know your child better than anyone.

Your child. Your choice.

I came across this article from the AAP and I’ll be honest—I had to read it twice. 👀

I mean, did they REALLY just recommend we walk into the exam room and TELL parents what we’re doing today?

Not ask.
Not discuss.
Just announce:

“We’ll be giving these vaccines.”

There it is. In black and white. On their official website. 📄

Their strategy for how to get doctors to coerce patients into vaccination.

And then they wonder why trust is at an all-time low while vaccine hesitancy is at an all-time high.

This is pride at its finest.

Scripture warns us clearly:

"Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall."
— Proverbs 16:18 ✝️

But compliance achieved through manipulation isn’t informed consent—
it’s coercion dressed up as best practice.

Here’s what pride looks like in the exam room:

❌ Believing our degree gives us authority over someone else’s child
❌ Using psychological tactics instead of honest conversation
❌ Treating questions as obstacles instead of opportunities
❌ Labeling concerned parents as problems to solve
❌ Prioritizing vaccination rates over trust

And what’s the fruit of this approach?

Broken trust.
Families leaving practices.
Parents who stop asking questions—not because we’ve educated them, but because they’ve learned we don’t want to hear their concerns.

Here’s the humble truth we need to embrace:

We are experts in medicine. 🩺
We are NOT experts in someone else’s values, family history, or God-given authority over their children.

👉 Swipe through to see 5 ways this prideful approach is destroying trust in the exam room.

Because here’s what I know:

Trust isn’t rebuilt through better sales techniques.

It’s rebuilt through humility, honesty, and genuine respect.

Our job is to inform, educate, and advise.
Their job is to decide what’s best for their child.

"God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble."
— James 4:6 ✝️

Did You Actually Consent to That Vaccine? 🤔💉

Confession:
In 10+ years practicing in family medicine…
Thousands of patients.
Thousands of vaccines ordered.
And I’ve never once given a parent true informed consent before a vaccine.

Not once.

And honestly…
I’ve never received it either.

Have you?

🏥 This Hit Me Recently

I took my twins to a specialist.
First visit. Never met the doctor.

At check-in, they handed me a procedure consent form.

It stated the physician had explained the risks and benefits.

Except…

We hadn’t even met the doctor yet.
No conversation had happened.

Yet the form said it did.

🤔 And It Made Me Wonder…

How often does this happen in healthcare?

How often do we sign forms saying:

“Risks and benefits explained”

…when they weren’t?

💉 Now Think About Vaccines

What would true informed consent look like?

Before giving 4–6 vaccines in one visit, a provider would:

• Explain each disease 🦠
• Review risks vs benefits ⚖️
• Discuss adverse events 📋
• Answer questions 💬
• Give time to think ⏳

⏱️ Reality

The average pediatric visit is ~15 minutes.

Usually:

📄 VIS sheet handed out
💉 Medical assistant gives shots
👩‍⚕️ Brief doctor visit

And that’s it.

A pamphlet isn’t informed consent.

❓ So Make It Make Sense

If informed consent requires:

✔️ Understanding
✔️ Discussion of risks
✔️ Voluntary decision
✔️ Time for questions

When exactly does that happen?

Because in my decade of practice…

I’ve never seen it.

Have you?
