Proud of our Katy!! She is the best!
It is GOLDEN TICKET TUESDAY!!
Everyone, say hello to Katy McLean Windell! She was nominated by Amy Spencer with the Gaston County Education Foundation.
We asked Katy to tell us a little bit about her self and her work and this is what she told us, I'm a 5th generation funeral service licensee at McLean Funeral Directors, honored to serve the community that built me. My husband, Austin and I also own and operate Paws Remembered, a respectful cremation service for our beloved pets. When I’m not working (which is really rare!), I find my greatest joy in cheering on my Alma Mater, Appalachian State University with Austin and our now 4 year old son, Spencer. We’re avid sports fans & enjoy going to concerts & events. I love playing tennis and pickleball, mahjong with my girls, and enjoy spending my days on Lake Wylie with my friends, family, and our dogs, Ammo & Mauney. At this moment in life, I find myself more interested in whatever Spencer is into, which is monster jam (current Grave Digger Groupie), super heroes (especially Batman), and whatever episode of Bluey we’ve watched at least 500 times!
I love serving my community in not only what I do, but also serving on multiple committees around the community in multiple organizations and being active in our church.
Thank you Natalie and everyone at Tindol Ford for setting the bar high in customer service and operating a family business in Gaston County. Your leadership, marketing, and overall moral is one to be admired. Thankful to be part of this & excited to see what's next for our County!
Katy already makes a large impact on our community and we know that she will continue to do so. Thank you for representing us so well as a Golden Ticket recipient!

At McLean Funeral Directors, we consider it a privilege to serve this area, and try to give back to our community whenever we can. Many of our staff members are personally involved with various organizations and groups within the community and our funeral home is a proud sponsor of many local programs and charities. Our goal is to support organizations and activities that make our region special and enhance the quality of life for all who live here.
With a beautiful state-of-the-art facility in Gastonia and a beautifully remodeled facility in Belmont, McLean Funeral Directors is the preferred funeral service provider in our region.
