Sometimes, we aren't very good at giving ourselves permission to slow down, so sometimes the weather does it for us.❄️
When the roads close and the world goes quiet, it’s more than just a break in our schedule; it’s an invitation to a forced “Be Still” moment. In a world that prizes "hustle," today is a gift to simply "be."
How to use your snow day wisely:
• Be Still: Take five minutes of intentional silence to breathe and pray. “Be still, and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10).
• Unplug: Trade the scrolling for a soul-filling activity like reading a book, baking something warm, or have a real conversation with the lovely people you may be snowed in with or call that friend you haven’t talked to in a while!
• Rest Without Guilt: Your worth isn’t tied to your productivity. If your body needs a nap or a slow morning, honor that need.
Let this snow day remind you that even the earth needs a season of rest before it can bloom. Stay safe, stay warm, and lean into the quiet today. ☕️🤍
