Bridging the Gap of America

Bridging the Gap of America "We are Dedicated to the Excellence in the Guidance of our Youth's and Family's Future" Bridging the Gap of North Carolina DBA Bridging the Gap of America, Inc.

is an Outreach Program for the youth and women. Our focus exists to build and develop our youth and families into becoming productive citizens within our community and beyond North Carolina. This will be accomplished by attacking the root of the problem our youth and families are facing head on. Bridging the Gap believes that the root of the problem stems from a breakdown in Social, Emotional, and Behavioral Progression, which directly affects the educational and literacy progression. Through mentoring, tutoring, coaching, counseling and one-on-one attention, our youth and families will be afforded the resources and tools to develop their self-esteem, self-image, education, motivation, and will power to press beyond the demands of their current situations and circumstances.

God’s timing is always good. From being someone who has graced many national medias, it is the local support that touches my core. I live in Charlotte but I am a city/country girl at heart. From living in Baltimore and moving back to the country at 10 years old, my heart sings of rock and roll. My zest for life has always been to help others. I recall living in Baltimore and walking to my uncle’s home after school for my mom to pick me up. I had a friend name Monique at that time and this was around the 3rd grade. She told me she didn’t want to go home. My heart skipped our plot became that she could go home with me. For I was safe and I knew what safety felt like so I thought she would feel safe coming home with me. That was one of many stories of me serving others. This is my life’s work. To gain recognition for the heart given to me by my God, is overwhelming. Thank you Who’s Who in Black Charlotte. Our community is so very necessary. Whatever the call you have, answer it. Don’t expect it to look like anyone else’s - it is your path!
