Some kids prefer softer foods—not just because of taste, but because chewing can actually be challenging.

Difficulty with harder textures may point to reduced oral muscle strength, swallowing dysfunction, or even a tongue-tie restriction.

Tiernee Midkiff, QOM candidate has been appointed to the Board of the International Association of Airway Hygienists as Treasurer.

When Tiernee first learned about myofunctional therapy, she had no idea it would lead her here!

What started as curiosity while working as a dental hygienist has grown into a passion - helping patients breathe better, sleep better, and feel better.

Over the past three years, she has stepped outside her comfort zone, learned from incredible mentors, spoken to groups of providers, and connected with others who share the same mission: making airway health a priority.

Joining the IAAH Board isn't just a professional milestone — it's a way to give back to the profession that has given her so much.
