The CDC reported that 1,108 Latinx women were newly diagnosed with HIV compared to 620 heteros*xual Latinx men. PrEP (Pre-Exposure prophylaxis) is a medication that prevents people from getting HIV. There are currently four medication options to choose from. Truvada and Descovy, are oral pills that are taken daily. Apretude and Yeztugo is an injectable that is given every month and twice a year by a healthcare provider. Thank you for recognizing Kintegra Health’s commitment to providing quality dental care for students throughout the school year. Together, we’re helping ensure brighter smiles and healthier futures for our community! 💙

Each school year, Kintegra Health provides care to students in Gaston County Schools through its mobile dental health program. For the 2024-2025 school year, 1,817 students received a dental evaluation, X-rays (if needed), cleaning, and fluoride treatment (about 1,600 students were served in 2023-2024). There were 5,726 cavities discovered, 1,780 sealants were applied, and 50 students with significant dental concerns were referred for consultation/treatment with a Kintegra family dentist. The care provided free-of-charge to students has a value of $202,660.
