We see baseball, football and cycling - hand and arm, knee and ankle injuries as the most common injuries in sports. Those injuries include fractures, sprains, and lacerations. In a study of high school softball and baseball players, the injury rate was 4.5 per 1,000 athlete exposures. Gastonia Spine & Sport works with our patients on a number of injury types, such as thumb collateral ligament injuries, wrist pain; with so many bones, ligaments, tendons, and joints keeping hands, wrists, arms and legs working, there is ample opportunity for injury. We are here to help work through your pain and reset those joints to set you on a road to repair.

As previously discussed, there can be many symptoms for fibromyalgia, such as:

Let's have a conversation. Could It Be Fibromyalgia?
Sufferers of fibromyalgia commonly report four or more of these symptoms.
Associated with widespread musculoskeletal pain, fibromyalgia can interfere with daily activities. According to the National Fibromyalgia Association, more than 10 million Americans suffer from this condition.
In women, fibromyalgia is diagnosed more frequently; 6 to 10 percent of females suffer from the disease. Fibromyalgia affects fewer than 1% of men in America. Fibromyalgia is usually diagnosed in adults, but children and teens can also suffer from the disorder, as well. It is estimated that 1 to 7 percent of children suffer from the disorder.

Pain from fibromyalgia can fluctuate, which means some days are worse than others. You can minimize your pain by choosing from a number of treatment options that can help you relieve the symptoms of fibromyalgia.

Over the next few weeks, we will discuss some of the stronger symptoms you might pick up on, and how we can propose a treatment plan to manage or alleviate your pain. Stay Tune!!
