Continuing our Occupational Therapy month spotlight . . .
IADLs (Instrumental Activities of Daily Living) aren’t just “life skills” — they’re the foundation for independence.💡
From managing time ⏰ to preparing simple meals 🍽️, handling money 💵, and organizing daily routines — these are the skills kids need to confidently navigate the real world.
When children learn IADLs early, they:
✨ Build confidence
✨ Improve problem-solving
✨ Develop responsibility
✨ Gain independence for school, home, and beyond
It’s not just about doing tasks — it’s about empowering kids to take ownership of their lives.
Let’s set them up for success, one skill at a time. 💛

Today we recognize Autism Awareness Day ❤️

At our clinic, we believe awareness is just the beginning - true impact comes from acceptance, understanding, and meaningful support. Every autistic child experiences the world in their own unique way, with their own strengths, challenges, and needs.

As therapists, our role is to support how children communicate, move, play, and engage with the world around them in ways that feel safe and empowering.

Let’s continue to listen, learn, and advocate for environments that honor neurodiversity and provide the supports each individual deserves.

Consistent attendance is one of the most important factors in helping children make progress in therapy. When appointments are missed or canceled at the last minute, it impacts your child’s progress and prevents another child from using that therapy time.

If your current appointment time isn’t working for your family, please let us know! Our team is always happy to help find a schedule that better supports your child’s success.

Did you know many early feeding challenges can be improved with the right support? Lactation counseling can help families navigate common concerns like latch difficulties, milk supply questions, and feeding comfort for both baby and parent.

We’re excited to now offer lactation counseling services with Ms. Emily, a Certified Lactation Counselor and speech-language pathologist. Her unique background allows her to support feeding from both a developmental and functional perspective—helping families build confidence during the early stages of feeding.

Early support can make a big difference in creating a positive feeding experience for you and your baby. If you’re interested in learning more about this service, reach out to our office to ask about availability.
