Aidan Flynn was eager to start donating as soon as he could after turning 16, for a very special reason. His younger brother, Liam, was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of cancer at just six years old. Aidan has seen firsthand how blood donations can help those going through cancer treatments and wanted to do his part. "After my motorcycle accident, I was in critical condition. I had broken my femur, collarbone, and pelvis, and was bleeding internally. I needed a few pints of blood to survive. Honestly, I wouldn't be here today if someone hadn't donated blood. That's why I give now, it's my way of paying it forward. You never know whose life your donation might save. It saved mine."
