HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Celebrating a century of life is a truly remarkable milestone.

On April 9th, 2026, Senior TLC was honored to help celebrate not just 100 years lived, but 100 years of strength, resilience, and cherished memories for Mrs. Helen Ford. Mrs. Ford has been enrolled with Senior TLC since 2024. She continues to be able to live at home with her daughter who is her primary in-home caregiver and with the supportive services provided by Senior TLC PACE program. Mrs. Ford attends the Senior TLC Shelby, NC location.

It was our privilege to stand alongside such an inspiring individual, whose journey reflects a lifetime of experiences. Her daughter April would like to extend appreciation to Senior TLC and all the Senior TLC Shelby staff members for making such a special celebration possible.

We celebrate Mrs. Ford for a life that is beautifully lived and to the continued mission of Senior TLC to be able to encourage and support the quality of life of senior’s wishing to continue to live in the community and make such remarkable milestones possible!

Our campus is fortunate to have an authentic Snoezelen room, which creates a multi-sensory environment designed to calm people through gentle light, soothing sound, and tactile sensations. It's used for therapeutic relaxation, to reduce anxiety and agitation, and to enhance communication. 🌈

Sometimes, we use it as a quiet place to ease into the morning. Here, some of our participants are completing a "Junk Drawer Detective" I Spy Game. The game features photos of cluttered junk drawers with specific items that participants must locate within the mix of objects. It's a great tool for cognition, recall, and reminiscing. Happily, the lighting, images, and soft music in the Snoezelen room are supportive of activities like this that require extra focus and concentration. 😮‍💨

Senior TLC Shout-Out Winner for February is…
🎉 Tiffany Smith! 🎉

Tiffany, one of our dedicated CNAs, has been recognized this month for her attentiveness, integrity, and commitment to keeping our participants safe and well cared for.

She consistently goes above and beyond—whether it’s quickly observing and reporting changes in a participant’s condition so they can receive prompt treatment, providing detailed updates when concerns arise, or taking initiative while out providing in-home care services.

During one visit, Tiffany noticed an issue at a participant’s apartment complex and immediately took action by notifying both the home care agency, and the apartment complex manager, helping ensure the concern was resolved quickly and safely. Her willingness to act promptly and do the right thing is a wonderful example of our value of integrity in action.

Thank you, Tiffany, for your diligence, compassion, and the exceptional care you provide to our participants! 💙

🎉Happy National Doctor's Day🎉
National Doctor’s Day is celebrated annually on March 30th in the United States to honor physicians' commitment, dedication, and contributions to patient care and community health. Today, we honor our Medical Director, Dr. Vanessa Crerar, DO, CMD.
Dr. Crerar, who is better known as Dr. C, is a board-certified family practitioner and geriatrician. She believes that health care for older adults is a growing area of need and a growing number of older adults need a little extra assistance in the home. Dr. C chose the PACE model, because she can allow people to continue to live at home for longer with the extra assistance needed to maintain autonomy. She enjoys that PACE has an interdisciplinary model to best serve older adults in a wholistic way. Not only this, but she can spend the time needed to provide the best care possible for her participants.
Happy National Doctors' Day Dr. C! Thank you for your dedication to your participants.
