Dr. Artie Cooper, who graduated from UNC School of Dentistry in 1984, and from UNC with a Bachelors in Chemistry in 1980. He has practiced in Gastonia since 1985. Currently, Dr. Cooper is a member of the American Dental Association, the North Carolina Dental Society, the Gaston County Dental Society, and a UNC Dental Alumni Association board member. In the past, Dr. Cooper has been on dental mission trips to Romania, Haiti and the Dominican Republic; participated in "Give Kids a Smile"; and been Chairmen of the Board of Lumiere Medical Ministries. Our team includes four hygienists, two assistants, and three administrative staff members. Faye Hovis and Donna Trimnal, front desk receptionists have been with the practice since 1984 and 1986 respectively. Both are welcoming and helpful to our patients. Crystal Seagraves, Dental Assistant II, has been in dentistry since 1988, and has volunteered on the NC Baptist Men's Dental Bus. Mandy Rhyne, Registered Dental Hygienist, has been with the practice since 1988 when she graduated from Central Piedmont Community College. Mandy is very active in her church, where she volunteers with the youth. Kim Beverly, Registered Dental Hygienist, graduated from Central Piedmont Community College in 1985, prior to joining the practice. She founded the "Woman in Pink," a non-profit breast cancer boutique. Lindsey Lail, Registered Dental Hygienist, graduated from Catawba Valley Community College in 2011. She was awarded the NC Dental Hygiene Academy of Advanced Studies – for striving for high standards in dental hygiene, and the Student Choice Award – for going the extra mile to be a team player and help her classmates. Nikki Gilford, Registered Dental Hygienist, graduated from Catawba Valley Community College in 2013, when she joined the practice.
