We are proud to present the newest concept in Independent and Assisted Living to the Ga***rd community! The Porches is a locally owned and operated community licensed by the State of Michigan. Nestled in a rural, wooded area, we are conveniently located just off I-75 in beautiful Northern Michigan. We take a fresh, new approach to senior living at The Porches. By starting as family, our goal is to welcome every resident and staff member as part of our growing family.

Our spacious suites are sure to make you feel right at home! Each suite features its own front porch where daily mail is delivered right to your personal mailbox. Several of our suites offer patio doors with courtyard access and all suites have large windows allowing beautiful views of our property and our wildlife.

We understand the difficult and life changing decision moving a loved one to a senior living community can be. Our trained staff is here to work with you to make the transition as simple as possible. All services provided by the caring team members of The Porches are specific and individualized to meet the unique needs of each resident. Our life enrichment program will ensure each resident opportunity to enrich their social, physical and spiritual needs. We can’t forget about our in-house culinary team that will provide delicious, warm and fresh prepared meals each day. Your loved one will not only be well cared for but will flourish in their new environment!
