Our staff is gathering to reflect on a big question:
What does it mean to move from being a clinic… to a recovery center… to a movement?

This isn’t about a logo or a tagline. It’s about who we are, how we serve, and how we grow together. 💬

Recovery is more than treatment. It’s connection. It’s belonging. It’s people helping people.

Hello Friends:

Our 2nd Annual Hope for Soup event has quickly approached us! Please join us this Tuesday under the Pavilion in downtown Ga***rd for soup, simple sandwich, and a beverage 11:30 am - 1:30 pm. Lunch will be served in the style of an outdoor homeless soup kitchen in an effort to try to give participants a chance to experience what those who are homeless experience. There will be short remarks about the crisis of homelessness in our community.

This is no charge and everyone is welcome so please invite friends, neighbors, colleagues, and employees for this unique event. While there is no charge, donations in any amount are welcome.

Our local Ga***rd Michigan State Post troopers will again be assisting with food service. They joined us last year and we are thankful to have them back again.

We are so grateful to the following organizations (as of 10/10) for helping to make this event possible and join us as our 2025 Soup for Hope Sponsors. The Refuge board and all those we serve are so grateful.

🎃🍁 Fall is here, and we’re feeling festive! 🍁🎃

A huge shoutout to our amazing nursing staff for going all out with the Halloween decorations this year - they turned NMSAS into a spooktacular space full of fun, color, and creativity! 👻🧡

As the leaves change and the air cools, we’re reminded that change, just like recovery, can feel a little spooky at first. But here at NMSAS, it’s always more treat than trick. 🌻✨

Here’s to fall, transformation, and finding joy in every step of the journey. 🍂💪
