When you see a police officer, show a random act of kindness. I was being my goofy self years ago and when a state cop pulled up in the lane next to me, I made eye contact and revved my engine. He didn’t give me a dirty look. He didn’t ignore me. He rolled down the window and said “Wanna Race?”& then we both started cracking up. I then thanked him for his service and he smiled and thanked me. Then he smoked me when the light turned green, those cars are fast lol.

That man and so many other amazing men and women put on that uniform every day knowing that there is a chance they’ll never see their families again. They put their lives on the line to protect the lives of everyone else. Including those who hate them. Are there some bad cops? Yes. But that’s the same with every profession. Bad people exist. But the only reason so many people are against the police is because the media only talks about the bad cops or the mistakes. What is in my opinion one of the most honorable careers has become a thankless job. We can change that! Thank a cop. Pay for their meal. Teach your kids to respect them.. we live in a society that wants cops to be looked down upon (they even tried cancelling a kids show because of it).

If you’re reading this post and are about to type an anti-police comment, stop and think about this: You probably don’t own a gun & If someone is breaking into your home, who are you going to call? If your kid goes missing, who are you going to call? Exactly. You are against them until you need them. Don’t be fake.

For all of my friends in law enforcement: Thank you, I appreciate you and the sacrifices you make and for putting the safety of others before yours.
