Thank you, Otsego Community Foundation, Choice Grant committee for choosing New Life for a $2500 gift!

We are so thankful for every dollar as year end giving provides 50% of our next year budget!

Our client Alana was facing eviction for only being one and a half months late on her rent. The last three days she has had legal papers put on her door and she has been charged $10 a day by her landlord, adding quickly to the money that she owed! She is a single mom that works two jobs to provide for her two teenage boys and her daughter who is pregnant. She’s an incredible mom who works hard and needed a break. The Lord heard her cry for help and we had two generous supporters from Hillman and Atlanta answer the call. Thank you for not seeing county lines, but rather seeing a family in need! We are so thankful for all of our partners who fight for life and families every day!

And I challenge this landlord to please consider the incredible burden of $10 a day. and a single mom who would’ve been homeless working hard to provide and wanted to get caught up, but the overwhelming burden of $10 a day and $60 fee to pay her rent in addition to what she owed was impossible.
