10-25-2025 @ 1pm the NHG’s of Genesee County: Sherry Marden, Lydia Freeman, Southeast: Kathy Proper ⭐️(her 1st service), Greater Thumb: Mary Scott, honored Ethel Ann (Julian) Mertz. She is 87 years old and worked 50+ years as a nurse. She received an LPN certificate from Beaumont Hospital, BA from Madonna University, MSN from Wayne State University. Her last 15 years she worked home care hospice, caring for people her whole life. It was a beautiful fall day, grateful & appreciative family! Beautiful service! Thank you so much to the Nurse Honor Guards that attended today!❤️

It has been a busy summer so far, we the Nurses Honor Guard in Genesee County , have been helping out the Tri-city Nurses Honor Guard, Southeast Nurses Honor Guard and the newly formed Greater Thumb Area Nurses Honor Guard, it takes a village and I love our village :) If you are a nurse RN, LPN, NP and want to join us ... hop :) on over to our private page , answer just 2 simple security questions and then we would like to contact you to give you all the info you need to get started in honoring our fellow nurses.

We were blessed to honor a 91 year old RN BSN , nurse anesthetist what an amazing life she had lead as a nurse, mother , colleague 😇thank you to Roxanne,Carol, Fran , Bonie , such a privilege to offer this service 😇we always are looking for volunteers to join us 😇

July has been busy we had 4 tributes in which we were honored to show respects to beautiful nurses who served our profession well . We also connected with new sister nurses from newly formed Tri -City Nurses Honor Guard and made new friends from Calhoun County Nurses Honor Guard . We were in Fenton, Lapeer, Chesaning, and Midland . It truly takes a village and I love this village 🥰
