It’s not just what you burn in a workout — it’s your BMR (basal metabolic rate) + NEAT (non-exercise activity like walking) + workouts (EAT) + digestion (TEF).

Want to figure yours out?
✅ Check your wearable (almost all wearables will have this number)
✅ Use a TDEE calculator (formulas online)
✅ Ask Chat gpt — input all your personal info and have it guesstimate for you

Creatine continues to be a topic for good reason (and its not just bigger 💪)

A new study found that dietary creatine may help lower cancer risk—especially in women and men 52+, and those with higher body weight.

It does this by reducing inflammation, supporting the immune system, and helping preserve lean mass—which is tied to longevity and metabolic health.

If you’re not getting enough through food (meat, fish, poultry), you might consider a high-quality creatine monohydrate supplement. This is one of the few supplements I recommend across the board. I get asked this all the time, but I'm using 5g of of creatine monohydrate each day in my morning water with electrolytes.

*this study was done with dietary creatine (not supplementation). In my opinion, supplementing with creatine is a no-brainer due to so many studies and such positive outcomes, but wanted to make sure you knew the details of the study.

After 10 days of vacation bliss — where I said yes to dairy, dark chocolate, Aperol spritzes, and the most beautiful meals — I came home not with guilt… but with motivation.

I moved my body every day, nourished myself with real food, and fully enjoyed every bite (and moment). This is what food freedom looks like when you trust your body and the habits you’ve built.

My Story

My name is DeeDee, I'm a first class honors graduate from the Edison Institute of Holistic Nutrition with a certification in Holistic Nutrition. Additionally I am a Certified Culinary Nutrition Expert. Using the latest in research and modern day holistic nutrition, combined with ancient practices such as Ayurveda and mindfulness/meditation; I use food, herbs, stress management tools and body movement to inspire individuals, groups and corporations to find their ultimate health. My goal is to empower you to have the energy and vibrancy required to pursue your life's passion.

After years in the business world as an Advertising Executive and business team leader with a Masters in Marketing, family health issues including a hereditary lung disease impacting my mother and an autoimmune disease contracted post childbirth effecting my daily life, I began to dig deep into the root cause of these issues. This led me to study Holistic Nutrition at the Institute of Holistic Nutrition in Toronto for two years. Since moving back to the states I completed my studies with The Edison Institute of Holistic Nutrition. While I have a certification in Holistic Nutrition and am a Certified Culinary Expert, the State of Illinois only allows Registered Dietitians to practice individualized nutrition consultations in relation to specific conditions. This is not the case in many other states.

I am currently seeing clients on an individual and group basis in regards to nutritional and weight loss education and work with them on a 3 month basis to live their best healthy life. We address general nutrition, stress management, sleep optimization and body movement. I provide 3 month long healthy recipe plans, a food and mood tracker, a whole foods detox and tips on managing stress, sleeping better and movement to support goals.
