What a lovely afternoon we had at our High Tea Party! 🌸 Our residents enjoyed delicious treats, beautiful teas, and even better company. From elegant hats to heartwarming laughter, the day was filled with charm, conversation, and community spirit.

Yesterday, we hosted a charming Tea Party for our residents, and it was truly an afternoon to remember! From dainty tea cups and delicious finger sandwiches to heartfelt conversations and laughter shared, the room was filled with joy and connection. 💬💕

Our community came together in style—hats, pearls, and all—to celebrate friendship and the simple pleasures of life. Thank you to our amazing team for making it so special, and to our residents for being the heart of every gathering. 💐

🌟 Associate of the Month: Jessica Hernandez 🌟

Please join us in celebrating our amazing Associate of the Month, Jessica Hernandez! 🎉

In just three short months, Jessica has become an essential part of The Oscar team, and we are so proud to recognize her for her outstanding work, warm heart, and positive attitude.

Jessica was drawn to The Oscar because she wanted a role that was both fun and personal—and she’s found exactly that here. Her favorite part of the job? Getting to know our wonderful residents! She genuinely enjoys chatting with them about their day and finds joy in making sure everyone feels cared for and supported. 💛

Her coworkers describe her as someone who’s always willing to go the extra mile, and she believes being a great team member means lifting others up whenever you can.

Outside of work, Jessica enjoys spending time with her husband of 19 years, Shawn, their three children—Alyssa, Brayden, and Cole—and their lovable dog, Bear. 🐾 Her hobbies include cooking, fishing, crafting, boating, and traveling. She manages it all with thoughtful planning and the strong support of her amazing family.

Jessica, thank you for the care, kindness, and light you bring to our community each day. We are so lucky to have you as part of The Oscar family!

🌟 Resident of the Month: Louise King 🌟

Please join us in celebrating our incredible Resident of the Month, Louise King! 🎉

Louise is a shining example of the heart and soul of The Oscar, and we’re so proud to honor her this month. When asked what she loves most about living here, her answer was simple and beautiful: “The people.” Louise says our community feels like a true family—where everyone looks out for one another—a feeling that first drew her to The Oscar and continues to bring her joy every day.

Louise stays active and engaged by taking part in many of our favorite activities, especially happy hours, Pinochle games (which she hadn’t played since her youth!), and exercise groups. Outside of The Oscar, she enjoys antiquing, wine tasting, and traveling.

Some of Louise’s most cherished memories are from the annual Fourth of July celebrations she and her husband hosted at their home on Lake Conroe—beautiful gatherings centered around family and love. 💙

Born and raised in Michigan, Louise moved to Texas in the late ’60s. She met her loving husband in 1984, and they’ve shared 41 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they’ve built a life filled with love, faith, and family. She is most proud of her four amazing children and feels truly blessed to be surrounded by them.

Louise credits her strong faith and her husband—her rock—for helping her through life’s challenges. Seeing her family happy is her greatest joy, and we’re so lucky that she shares her warmth and spirit with all of us here at The Oscar.

👋 Meet Amanda Carlisle, APRN, FNP-C!

We’re excited to welcome Amanda to our community! With over 29 years of experience in nursing and healthcare, Amanda is a compassionate and knowledgeable Family Nurse Practitioner who’s dedicated to helping people live healthier, happier lives.

She’s worked in a variety of settings—from hospitals and urgent care to assisted living and wellness clinics—and most recently has been focused on caring for older adults in assisted and independent living communities.

Amanda is passionate about personalized care, wellness, and really listening to her patients’ needs. 💙

Outside of work, she loves spending time with her family, enjoying the outdoors, and staying active.

With over 30 years of culinary experience, Chef David Hill brings passion, creativity, and deep-rooted expertise to every plate he creates. A proud graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Chef Hill has led kitchens across Texas, Atlanta, San Francisco, and Sacramento—earning a reputation for his bold flavors and commitment to farm-to-fork cooking.

He’s been an Executive Chef, Regional Director, Product Development Chef, and even a restaurant owner—founding The Chef’s Table, a Sacramento favorite known for its earthy regional American cuisine with a southern twist.
