Treatment is developed according to each person's personal strengths and preferences, maintaining identity and ownership of one’s journey toward well-being, while working to achieve their personal goals. At HeartStrum, music is more than a song. While the power of music has been acknowledged throughout history, research since the establishment of music therapy has supported the effectiveness of music therapy in addressing physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needs. As a resident of Scott county, I am happy to be providing services to Georgetown, as well as the surrounding areas! I have fallen in love with Music Therapy, the fascinating science that supports it, and most importantly, the changes I see in people’s lives when it is implemented into their therapeutic journey. I am extremely grateful and excited for the opportunity to share music therapy with you, and with our community.
