The Brown County Genealogical Society began in 1976. In the early years they met in a laundrymat basement and had 1 used file cabinet. since then we have moved to the “Old Jail”. we have over 1000 family files and hundreds of family histories. We have research materials from not only Br. Co., but many surrounding counties and states.We are dedicated to the search of our families history, and how our families fit into local and U.S. history and the history of the world beyond.
