Congratulations to Dr. Suneela Cherlopalle, Associate Medical Director of Psychiatry, for being honored with the Psychiatry "Outstanding Faculty Award" by the class of 2024 students at TAMU Medicine - Round Rock! This award recognizes Dr. Cherlopalle as the most outstanding faculty member in their Psychiatry Clerkship.

Dr. Cherlopalle has been an affiliate faculty member at Texas A&M University since 2020. She engages students in in-depth discussions about patient cases, prognosis, and treatment courses. Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition, Dr. Cherlopalle.

: Last weekend, Lone Star Circle of Care's HIV Prevention Team and volunteers participated in Round Rock Pride and Bastrop Pride. We enjoyed connecting with the community, handing out swag, and discussing our PrEP services.

This Pride Month, LSCC looks forward to continuing to promote our HIV Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) service line at Pride events across Texas. PrEP is a daily pill that can prevent the transmission of HIV, helping to keep everyone in our communities safe and healthy.

Funds raised for the Texas Mamma Jamma Ride support the Lone Star Circle of Care’s Big Pink Bus. The Big Pink Bus offers free or low-cost breast cancer screenings on a state-of-the-art mobile mammography bus. Patients receive high-quality 3D breast imaging services. Lone Star Circle of Care qualifies eligible uninsured patients for safety net programs, and a sliding fee scale will be available according to household size and income.

Lone Star Circle of Care is partnering with the Central Texas Food Bank to provide free, nutritious food for our patients. The Food Bank’s Mobile FARMacy, a grocery store on wheels, rolls into our Taylor and Bastrop clinics weekly!

Last week, we celebrated the opening of Lone Star Circle of Care at Harker Heights with a ribbon cutting ceremony, tours, refreshments and more! The new location marks an important milestone in our ability to provide high quality and affordable care in Bell County.

The 10,000 square foot facility is expected to serve 7,000 patients each year, delivering primary and behavioral health care for both adults and children in one convenient location.

An initial partner in the launch of the mobile mammography unit in 2021, H-E-B's ongoing contributions help increase access to low-cost mammograms for women across Central Texas.
