Happy global running day 2025! 🌎
We have loved sharing our team’s “what does running mean to me” and the fuel to why we run.

Last, but certainly not least, Doctor Cody shares his why below —

“Running has so many purposes for me in my life. It is a stress reliever, a way to stay healthy, a way to spend time with friends, and a way to challenge myself. Once I hung up my soccer boots, I felt a slight void and a desire to compete. Running is able to fill that void and while I am not really competing to be the absolute best runner at every race, I am competing with myself every time I toe the start line. I feel running helps me to build mental toughness and drive to keep moving forward no matter the hardship. That’s what running means to me!“

Running can serve so many things to so many people. Here is Doctor Katelynn’s take on what running means to her.

“I have not always been a runner. Looking back, I honestly hated running outside of anything on the soccer field longer than 2-3 miles. That was always an easy sweet spot for me. “Oh, I’ll just go for a quick couple miles and call it good.” It wasn’t until about 4 years ago that I got more serious with running. I wanted to push myself more out of my comfort zone to see what I was capable of. The voice in my head is and always has been my greatest competitor and it is SO rewarding to prove it wrong!

Now as a mom, returning to running postpartum is going to be quite the journey, but the races will always be there and the paces and distances will come. I am excited to tackle this new era and try to lead a good example for our son and show him that we can do hard things!”
