🦠 Flu activity in SC is currently at the highest levels according to CDC tracking—placing our state among the worst hit in the country right now.

📊 Experts at MUSC are monitoring very high rates of flu, with emergency departments seeing significant flu diagnoses.

📈 Last week’s data showed that SC’s flu spread was among the worst in the nation heading into 2026.

January is Cervical Cancer Awareness Month 💙

Did you know most cervical cancers are caused by HPV? The HPV vaccine is a safe and effective way to help prevent cervical cancer and other HPV-related cancers.

The vaccine is recommended for preteens (ages 11–12) but can be given starting at age 9, and many teens and adults up to age 45 may still benefit. Pairing vaccination with routine screenings like Pap tests and HPV testing offers powerful protection.
