Alzheimer’s disease is typically associated with gradual cognitive decline, even in its early stages.
A pilot feasibility study explored whether combining Healing Touch (HT) with BodyTalk Cortices (BTC) could support individuals with early-stage Alzheimer’s alongside their usual care. Over six months, participants receiving weekly Healing Touch and daily BTC practice showed improvements in cognitive function, mood, and depression scores. In contrast, the control group experienced patterns more consistent with typical disease progression.
This was a small feasibility study designed to explore trends and practical challenges such as adherence. It does not suggest that Healing Touch or related therapies treat or reverse Alzheimer’s disease. It highlights the potential role of integrative, non-pharmacologic approaches in supporting cognitive and emotional well-being.
