🤖✨ A special visitor at Ashton Grove Senior Living!

Our community recently welcomed Marty the Robot from Badger Technologies, who stopped by for a fun visit accompanied by the son of our very own Donna W. Residents were excited to see this high-tech guest up close!

Marty is an autonomous robot designed to move through stores using sensors and cameras, helping staff by identifying things like spills, floor hazards, and items that may need restocking. By scanning shelves and aisles, the robot helps keep environments safe and organized while allowing employees to spend more time assisting people.

It was a fascinating and enjoyable visit, and our residents loved meeting such a unique guest!

At Ashton Grove Senior Living, Pi Day was as sweet as can be! 🥧 Our team hosted a friendly pie bake-off between Ashton Grove staff and the EmpowerMe Wellness team. From sampling delicious entries to casting their votes and testing their knowledge with pie trivia, residents had a wonderful time celebrating together.

Moments like these — full of laughter, connection, and a little friendly competition — make life at Ashton Grove so special.

Dr. Leslye Jones, a board-certified family medicine physician with Lexington Clinic, specializes in preventive, whole-person care. During this engaging session, she will provide clear, practical guidance on which cancer screenings are most important as we age and help attendees feel confident in making informed health decisions.
This educational event is designed to support older adults and their families with valuable information about recommended screenings and preventative care — because knowledge is one of the most powerful tools for lifelong wellness.

We brought the excitement of the Winter Games right here to Ashton Grove — and our residents were ready to compete!

From our own versions of ski jumping, curling, figure skating, biathlon, and speed skating, the competition was fierce (and full of laughter). Residents showed off their skills, teamwork, and plenty of competitive spirit — all leading up to a well-earned medal ceremony to celebrate our champions! 🥇🥈🥉

Pizza, pajamas, and plenty of laughs! 🍕💕 Ashton Grove hosted a Pajama Pizza Party, and it was a slice of pure fun! Residents gathered in their comfy PJs to enjoy pizza, great conversation, and a lively round (or two!) of Pizza Bingo.

We stepped back into the 1920s for a dazzling Gatsby-themed Family Night — and what a night it was!

Residents and their families arrived dressed to impress! The room sparkled with vintage-inspired décor, lively music filled the air, and laughter echoed throughout the evening.

Guests enjoyed delicious refreshments, great conversation, and plenty of photo-worthy moments. From toe-tapping tunes to heartfelt family connections, the spirit of the Roaring Twenties was alive and well at Ashton Grove!

Our creativity was on full display at Ashton Grove! ✂️💌💕 Residents enjoyed a delightful afternoon of card and stationery making, designing beautiful handmade creations filled with florals, thoughtful details, and plenty of heart.

The crafting didn’t stop there! We also created charming heart wall hangings—bright, cheerful pieces perfect for adding a little extra love to any space. ❤️✨

🐻 We had a delightful time celebrating National Winnie the Pooh Day in our community! Residents indulged in scrumptious homemade honey cookies 🍯 and enjoyed a cozy screening of the Christopher Robin movie 🎥. Plus, we couldn’t resist posing with an adorable stuffed Pooh bear!

From cheerful February door hangers to festive Valentine topiaries and colorful chunky charm bracelets, residents have been busy creating, sharing ideas, and enjoying time together.

Crafting offers so many benefits for seniors—encouraging self-expression, supporting fine motor skills, stimulating cognitive function, and, most importantly, fostering social connection. Gathering around the craft table sparks conversation, laughter, and a strong sense of community, turning each project into a meaningful shared experience.

At Ashton Grove, it’s about more than the finished piece—it’s about creativity, connection, and the joy of doing something together.
