Happy Hody Childress Day!

We are still getting letters from all over the United States. I had one from New York just a few weeks ago. And the town of Geraldine has kept the fund alive and well.

It was an honor to watch Hody serve as the hands and feet of Jesus in our great town.

And even a greater honor to see how he has affected the hearts of so many- by either being the recipient of a donation or being one to continue what he started.

He is still making a difference every single day.

"He was not a wealthy man, but he was probably the richest man on earth with his heart," one of his children said.

Geraldine Town Council set April 24 as Hody Childress Day. This week was our second annual celebration of this incredible man.

We had several donations brought through this week in memory of Hody, but I wanted to share a very unique one.

“The Father’s House” is an amazing recovery ministry in our county. This year, they wanted to do something special on Hody Childress Day. They began to save their money in a jar and brought it by to donate to the Hody Childress Fund on April 24- Hody’s birthday.
