Today on International Women's Day, we’re honoring cardiovascular trailblazer Sharon A. Hunt. A pioneer in heart transplantation and advanced heart failure care, her work refining immunosuppression treatments significantly improved survival rates for transplant patients. Meet Doctor Edwards!

Dr. Edwards is the Director of Heart and Lung Transplantation at Baptist Memorial Hospital. He is also the Medical Director of Heart Transplantation/Mechanical Circulatory Support at Baptist Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Edwards is interested in mechanical devices for CHF and heart, lung, and kidney transplantation. In addition to his career, Dr. Edwards is gratified by the long relationships established by treating and following his patients through the years.
