Capacity, window of tolerance, empowerment, is all about you being self led. You leading from your self without losing yourself.

We either react with blaming, shaming, and attacking or we shut down, withdraw, and disconnect.

In both situations we find ourselves ruminating about what we would have liked to have had happen instead in the aftermath of our experiences.

We are often managed by our emotions - anger, anxiety, worry, fear, frustration and when we lead from our emotions we react or respond with protective patterns that often create a chasm in the relationships we value most.

Self leadership is a practice developed through self awareness, self understanding, self compassion, and self confidence.

Self leadership allows you to step into courageous conversation in the midst of challenges with clarity in a way that fosters connection.

If you’re ready to transform your protective patterns, let’s talk!

Changing challenging dynamics in relationships is about transforming your responses and reactions to the challenges.

Get more curious about you and spend more time gaining insight for yourself.

Step into communication and decision making with informed clarity, confidence, and courage !

I have been working on so much this year that posting has taken a back seat!

Honestly, I have a continuous internal battle about posting and not posting.

Part of me says “why do you think your voice should be heard?”

Another part says “you have valuable things to share for the people that want and need to hear.”

Both are important parts that help me make discerning decisions.

I’ll keep you posted on this work in progress as it has the potential to change lives!

Shoutout to Gill Family Law !

Their team has been intentionally focused on internal communication and team unity all year, and yesterday’s work was nothing short of WOW! 🙌

Through team-building retreats focused on

Understanding brain development and nervous system synergy
Building trust
Leaning into healthy conflict
Taking accountability
Staying committed
Staying results-oriented as a team

It’s been a journey that’s often uncomfortable but deeply empowering! Witnessing this team step into such growth has been amazing!

I specialize in working with teams of 12 or fewer, focusing on these crucial team-building elements. My retreats draw from my training as a therapist in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and from Patrick Lencioni’s Five Dysfunctions of a Team.

These experiences provide teams with the tools they need to develop trust, embrace conflict, take accountability, stay committed, and focus on team results.

According to the Department of Justice, Office on Violence Against Women, “domestic violence can be physical, sexual, emotional, economic, or psychological actions or threats of actions that influence another person. This includes any behaviors that intimidate, manipulate, humiliate, isolate, frighten, terrorize, coerce, threaten, blame, hurt, injure, or wound someone.”

The power and control wheel was developed by by Ellen Pence, Michael Paymar, and Coral McDonald. The wheel provides a visual representation on how an abuser seeks to exert power and control over a dating partner or spouse.
