Dr. Claire Hays, Class of 2024, was recently recognized for her research presentation on the "Influence of Positive Cultures After Aseptic Revision for Failed Shoulder Arthroplasty" by the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons ASES. You can learn more about her research by listening to the ASES Podcast (https://heyor.ca/8Uo2e6).

Dr. Hays also just completed a shoulder fellowship at Cleveland Clinic. She and her husband are moving to Lake Charles, Louisiana – her hometown – where she'll join a private practice.

“Patients don’t care what you know until they know you care.”

Dr. Stuart Fischer, an orthopaedic surgeon in New Jersey and AAOS Member of the Month, recently recalled a conversation he had with Dr. Terry Canale early in his career. He expressed how important patient relationships have been to maintaining his practice for more than 40 years.

Dr. Canale passed away in August 2023. During his career, he led Campbell Clinic, Campbell Foundation, AAOS, POSNA and dozens of medical and education organizations. His impact extends far and wide.
