Water safety starts with awareness

Drowning is one of the leading causes of accidental injury in children but many tragedies are preventable with close supervision and simple precautions.

Our THH Tips for Water Safety:
*. Never leave children unattended near water
* Choose life jackets over floaties
* Start swim lessons early
* Fence pools when possible
* Learn CPR

A few extra seconds of attention can save a life.

Meningitis B: What Parents Should Know

Meningitis B is a rare but serious bacterial infection that can cause swelling of the brain and spinal cord. It can progress quickly and become life-threatening—even in otherwise healthy teens.
**Watch for symptoms like:
• Fever
• Severe headache
• Neck stiffness
• Nausea/vomiting
• Sensitivity to light
• Confusion or difficulty waking

**Who is at risk?
Teens and young adults (especially ages 16–23), particularly those living in close quarters like dorms.

**Protection matters:
The Trumenba vaccine helps protect against Meningitis B. It’s recommended based on age and risk—and can be an important layer of protection before college.

**Not sure if your child is up to date? We’re happy to help review their vaccine schedule.

awareness + prevention = peace of mind
