Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) is a type of depression that typically occurs in the fall and winter months, largely due to reduced sunlight exposure. Daylight Saving Time (DST) can exacerbate these symptoms, as the shift in clocks can disrupt our natural circadian rhythms and reduce morning light.

This type of depression is related to changes in seasons and begins and ends at about the same times every year.
