So excited to be attending this great event for the DeSoto County Schools! We are honored to treat kids from this school district and are very proud of the super effective working relationships we have the teachers and counselors in their schools.

We have had several opportunities to have Officer Mango come to Daybreak Treatment Center and provide support and services to our kids. He is always compassionate and kind. He always takes time to understand why we called him, never rushing in or trying to take over. He is a true friend to Daybreak Treatment Center and our kids here. We are so fortunate to have him in our community, and in every kid's corner!!!

Meet Officer Mango
Officer Mango has been a valued member of the Germantown Police Department for the past 8 years. Prior to joining GPD, he served with the Olive Branch Police Department, where he built a strong foundation in public service.

Currently assigned to the day shift in District 5—the heart of Germantown’s Central Business District, Officer Mango is a vital part of our patrol division. He wears many hats, serving as a hostage negotiator, Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) officer, and Field Training Officer (FTO).

Officer Mango is known for his compassion, professionalism, and calm demeanor—whether he’s assisting a fellow officer, de-escalating a crisis, or simply taking a report. As one colleague put it: “Everyone loves Mango!”

Outside of work, Officer Mango enjoys gardening, fly fishing, and walking his dogs. You’re most likely to find him enjoying one of Germantown’s many parks—his favorite part of the city.

If you see Officer Mango out and about, don’t hesitate to say hello—he’s always glad to help.

Today we are kicking off a week long celebration of the hard work and life changing outcomes that we live for here at Daybreak. Every day will involve some goodies for the team that doesn't know how to give up on a kid or family.

Because Monday's Be Poppin' we are starting out week with a popcorn bar with flavored shakers.

And, because the mental health field needs some fuel, we will have salty and sweet snacks all week as well

There are administrative professionals and then there are the people that a business simply does not function without. Gaye McManus, you are definitely the second one!!

You are the first person every parent talks to when they call to look for help with their child. You are the last person they talk to when their kid graduates from program.

You make the internet work, make sure there’s always paper to print on and ink in the copier. You make sure there are plates and forks and toilet paper.

Without you Daybreak doesn’t open the doors every morning.

On behalf of all of us who would be sitting around in the dark, with no internet or supplies or even kids to treat, THANK YOU for always being above and beyond.

As programs grow and evolve, it becomes increasingly important to be intentional about your legacy. Staying true to the values that got us where we are. She has been developed by the best in the business, Dr. Del Conte and Sam Olson to name a couple. Chelsea Bricker holds true to the values of DBT and the roots of Daybreak.

She started with us as a bachelor's level student and through two master's degrees and now her LPC-MHSP, Chelsea just keeps getting more dedicated to providing the best of care to the most vulnerable to kids.

Congratulations Chelsea for that piece of paper that says the State of Tennessee recognizes what we have known since 2018 (I think). That you are an asset to this field, and we are so proud to have you.!!

Our most sincere congratulations to Dominique Walker LPC!!

Dominique is a heartbeat of our team here at Daybreak--she leads our DBT and IOP groups with a rare blend of steady consistency and high energy (if you know her, you know what I mean). She brings fun and creativity to teaching life saving skills to vulnerable young people. And for that, you are always celebrated.

The finishing up your license is a reason to celebrate a little more!!
