The Archie Show is a classic animated series that first aired on Saturday mornings in 1968. It was created at a time when TV producers were looking to capitalize on the popularity of made-for-TV musical groups like ๐๐ก๐ ๐๐จ๐ง๐ค๐๐๐ฌ. The show follows the hilarious misadventures of Archie, Betty, Veronica, Jughead, and the rest of the gang from Riverdale High School. A key feature of the show is the musical segments of the gang's bubblegum pop band, ๐๐ก๐ ๐๐ซ๐๐ก๐ข๐๐ฌ and their famous hit songs like "Sugar, Sugar."

To commemorate our September birthdays, it was time to "๐ฅ๐ณ๐ถ๐ฎ ๐ถ๐ฑ ๐ด๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ฆ ๐ง๐ถ๐ฏ!" This month, our residents on the Birthday Board are getting special recognition with these ๐ฝ๐๐จ๐จ ๐ฟ๐ง๐ช๐ข ๐๐๐จ๐! ๐ฅ๐ I made them as a playful nod to the bass drum that Jughead plays in the show, which has "The Archies" written on it. As a special touch, I wrote each resident's name on the drum in place of the band's name. To create this ๐ฃ๐ข๐ด๐ด๐ญ๐ช๐ฏ๐ฆ, I transformed small "to go" soup containers into mini bass drums and then added some hand sewn fish fins that I made from coffee filters. ๐ชก
๐ Get it? Bass drum... bass fish! ๐
