Natural Awakening Wellness Center is a program of Peaceful Pulse for Responders. We are located in the LOWER section of the newly purchased building by Wike Counseling Services, LLC.; parking and a private entrance is available in the front.

The mission of PPR: Unlike reactive, siloed approaches, integrative wellness harmonizes comprehensive strategies into one’s routine to support responders proactively throughout their career.

The wellness center is open to the general public, and offers a variety of classes, workshops & resources. Our instructors are independent contractors who will facilitate within the space, and each of them have graciously agreed to donate a percentage of their proceeds in return for use of the facility towards the mission.

Who does PPR serve? First Reponders who live or work in Adams or York Counties, and their immediate household family members. First Responders includes: Veterans, Military Personnel, Law Enforcement, Fire & Rescue, 911 Dispatchers, and Hospital Emergeny Department Staff.

What does PPR do? Support first responders and their families by equipping them with essential tools and resources to manage stress and trauma effectively. Our Natural Awakening Wellness Center, Therapitic Services Program and our Creative Solutions Community Grant are all offerings that Peaceful Pulse has available for the first responders within our community.

As Soulshine By Shannon continues to grow into new spaces and communities, I am adding a simple online participant disclaimer to sessions and events.

Sound meditation is gentle, supportive, and in my experience has been well-tolerated by nearly everyone. Still, it feels important to be thoughtful and responsible for you, for me, and for the beautiful locations that so generously open their doors for us.

If you have any diagnosed or ongoing medical, physical, or mental health conditions, please consult your doctor beforehand and always listen to your body during sessions. Use your own best judgment and move at your own pace.

This is simply a little “cover our bases” note as we expand so everyone can relax, feel safe, and fully enjoy the experience.

Over the last 5 years, we’ve helped you plant over 98,000 seedlings! While the 10 Million Trees program has officially wrapped up, the Adams County Planting Partnership (ACPP) isn't slowing down.
We are launching a brand-new volunteer program to grow our own native seedlings right here in Adams County! 🏡🌳
Want to help? Become a "Mini-Nursery" volunteer!
We need local growers to host and care for seedlings this season to prepare for our Fall 2026 distribution.

And here is the silver lining of having my appendix unexpectedly removed yesterday…

I have been lovingly (and firmly) instructed to rest.

Which, if you know me, is not exactly my strong suit.

So this season is becoming an unexpected return to the basics:
🧘‍♀️ meditation
🎶 music
🌿 stillness
💛 listening

The very practices I share through Soulshine are now my own medicine.

Soft breathing. Quiet moments. Singing to clear the lungs. Sound as healing. Presence as prayer.

Sometimes stillness arrives as a whisper.
Sometimes it shows up and removes an organ. Either way… message received. ✨

If you have been feeling nudged to slow down, please listen sooner than I did. Your body and soul are always speaking.

More music. More meditation. More moments to simply be.

That is the work now.

Thank you everyone for the kindness, support, and tremendous understanding with the cancellations. I am hopeful to slowly roll back into things though will keep all posted if things change. ✨

A sincere thank you to Mansion House 1757 and especially Cindy and George, for so warmly hosting this afternoon’s cozy sound meditation in their beautiful space.

Deep appreciation as well to everyone who braved the sketchy weather to come breathe, share the calm together, and entrust me with your time and presence. It means more than you know.

If you have not visited yet, this sweet spot in Fairfield is truly a gem…delicious food, a lovely B&B, live music every third Thursday, and they graciously make space for my sound meditations whenever the opportunity aligns.
